01Overview
A custom vanity is priced by its width and finish, then by the top, the fronts and how it is mounted, then by what goes above and beside it: mirror cabinets and linen towers. The table shows indicative installed ranges for floating vanities with drawers and quartz tops.
The figures come from the same model as the Vanity Worx designer. They cover the vanity, top and millwork, not plumbing fixtures or the plumber's work. Your fixed price follows the site measure.

Each change below is measured against a 60-inch walnut floating vanity with drawers, single sink and a quartz top, which comes to about $9,500 – $11,500.
A marble top instead of quartz
+$2,000Marble costs more than quartz, and it is softer and more porous, so it needs sealing and care.
A recessed mirror cabinet
+$1,450A recessed mirror cabinet sits inside the wall between studs, so you get storage without depth. The wall opening is checked at the site measure.
A full-width mirror cabinet
+$3,600A full-width mirror cabinet runs the length of the vanity with several doors, so it holds the most.
A linen tower
+$3,750A linen tower is a full-height cabinet in the same finish, usually with a hamper or drawers below.
A second sink (60 in and up)
+$650A second sink adds a cutout, a second faucet position and plumbing coordination. Widths start at 60 inches.
Standing on a toe kick instead of floating
−$600A vanity on a recessed toe kick needs less wall blocking than a wall-hung one, so it costs a little less.
Fluted oak instead of walnut
+$1,000Fluted fronts add machining and finishing on every drawer and door.
LED glow under the vanity
+$450A dimmable strip under the vanity doubles as a night light.

06How to keep the cost down
- Choose doors under the sink and drawers to the sides, instead of all drawers.
- Use a quartz top with an undermount sink, and save marble for a powder room where it gets less wear.
- A recessed cabinet costs less than a full-width one and uses space you already have.
- Keep the plumbing where it is. Moving drains is the fastest way to double the cost of a bathroom.
07Timeline

08Questions about cost
Do these prices include the sink and faucet?
The top includes the sink cutout. Sinks, faucets and plumbing are usually supplied and connected separately, unless we agree otherwise.
Is a floating vanity more expensive?
Slightly. The wall needs blocking to carry it, and the underside is finished. It makes a small bathroom feel bigger.
What's the smallest vanity you build?
Twenty-four inches, which suits most powder rooms.
How long does a vanity take?
About four weeks from signed drawings, and installation is usually a day.
